Defining of the fuel type allows determining the range of the fuel savings obtained due to MERGI PFT. It enables calculation of required combustion catalyst which changes the structure of of the hydro carbon molecules within the fuel:

Load

The load conditions of device have great importance on level of the savings generated by Mergi PFT.

Due to wide range of applications of the combustion catalyst and to ease the process of defining the load four predefined values have been made (what is sufficient for the needs of this presentation).

Calculations are based on Polish market fuel prices by default.

Diesel Oil (DO)
PN-EN ISO 3675, PN-EN ISO 12185, max density: 840 Kg/m3 @15C.
MGO (ISO-F-DMA)
ISO 8217:1996, max density: 890 Kg/m3 @15C, max viscosity: 6 mm2/s @ 40C.
MDO (ISO-F-DMB)
ISO 8217:1996, max density: 900 Kg/m3 @15C, max viscosity: 11 mm2/s @ 40C.
IFO180 (ISO-F-RME25)
ISO 8217:1996, max density: 991 Kg/m3 @15C, max viscosity: 25 mm2/s @ 100C.
IFO380 (ISO-F-RMG35)
ISO 8217:1996, max density: 991 Kg/m3 @15C, max viscosity: 35 mm2/s @ 100C.

EXEMPLES:
Light (less then 50%)
Paralleled generator engines used in applications where blackouts are critical for readiness.
Medium (50%-80%)
Main propulsion engines in economic voyages.
Heavy (more then 80%)
Boilers and engines used in applications where efficiency is the key.
Variable
Engines under variable load or RPM conditions ie.: small engines in traffic or generators.

Litre
Unit of 1l = 1 / 1000m3. Most often used for calculation of small quantities of fuel
Cubic metre (m3)
SI Unit 1m3 = 1000l. Widely used for calculation of destillated fuels
Ton (metric)
MTS Unit 1t = 1000kg. The most popular unit used for measurement of fossil fuel in maritime and trade.
Fuel consumption
Quantity of consumed fuel in chosen unit ie.: 8000 (l/m3/t). Decimal number without decimal point.

EURO/USD/PLN
Choice defines currency used for calculations and presentation of results.
